Urban Farmer @ Oxford Hotel, Denver CO
The Oxford Hotel is a registered national monument built in 1891. The existing space was originally split into a bar and dining room with an exit hallway. The new design eliminated the hallway and opened up the two spaces into one large open space. Custom operable windows were added that had to match the historic fabric of the building and create a connection to the outside. The Owner was concerned about sound transmission from the bar to the guest rooms above, so six layers of drywall were added with sound isolation springs to mitigate sound. The kitchens were fully remodeled with modern equipment as well as the restrooms, seating areas, and bar.
